If crafting is your thing, then you will be in heaven with an immersive 3-day, creative escape in beautiful Lincolnshire. This is the perfect opportunity to relax in a fun and friendly atmosphere either by yourself or with a friend to meet and enjoy a variety of crafts with likeminded crafters in a safe environment with experienced tutors.
Our retreat will be like no other, you will have the opportunity to try so many different crafts over the weekend. You can immerse yourself in glue and paint or threads and fibres. Craft holidays are a fabulous opportunity to meet like-minded craft folk and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of escaping day to day life.
Workshops choices will include Indian Block Printing, Handmade Paper Making, Needle Felting, Candle Making, Little Wooden Houses, Macrame Rainbows, Art Journaling, all of which are suitable for beginners. No prior knowledge or skills are required for this retreat, so you’ll get to enjoy our lovely projects whilst learning something new.
The retreat includes accommodation and meals for the weekend along with materials and equipment for all included workshops. There will be time in the evening to relax and socialise with others or pick up and continue a started project.
The Venue
The craft retreat is based in the beautiful Cathedral city of Lincoln at the Riseholme College. This is located just 5 miles from Lincoln city centre and the train station.
Each bedroom has a single bed, ensuite facilities and bedding. Tea, coffee, water and squash will be available at all times.
All your meals are provided during your stay. This will include working style lunches with sandwiches, fruit and of course the essential cake. Evening dinner will be fresh and served in the onsite canteen.
Your weekend in detail
Day 1
5:00pm Arrival/Meet and greet- Tea and coffee. A chance to settle into your room and freshen up
6:30-8:00pm Evening meal and welcome
8:00-9:30 Evening craft workshop- Resin Bumblebees
Free/Social time to meet the other crafters, or an early night ready for a busy day of crafting on day 2.
Day 2
8:30am Breakfast
At 9:30am we will start our days crafts with a choice of Mindful Embroidery or Little Houses. There will be a tea/coffee break before finishing your project.
1:00-2:00pm Lunch
You will have the opportunity to complete 2 crafts during the afternoon session. We will include a break for refreshments break between craft projects. Craft choices include, Candle Making, Indian Block Printing, Handmade Paper, and Needle Felting
6:00-7:00pm Free time
7:00-8:30 Evening meal
After dinner we will enjoy some social time.
Day 3
8:30am Breakfast
At 9:30am we start our final craft included in the retreat of either Macrame Rainbows or Art Journaling
11:30-1:00pm A last chance to finish off and last bits before packing up for going home
1:00-2:00pm Lunch and farewells
2:00-4:00pm- Optional extra workshop (not included in the cost of the retreat)

50% deposit is payable at the time of booking. The balance is due 12 weeks before the event.

Is the venue wheelchair friendly?
Yes, the venue is modern and wheelchair friendly with some accessible bedrooms and ensuites also available. Please book early as they are limited in supply.
I don’t know anyone and I’m nervous about joining the retreat.
Most people come on their own and after your first cup of tea and a natter about crafts you’ll have plenty of people to chat with over the weekend. We promise!
Can I choose the crafts I do?
Absolutely we aim to give everyone a choice of two different crafts at each session with exception to the Friday evening. You will be asked for your choice based on preference shortly after booking. Please note, bookings taken less than 8 weeks before the retreat or when we are close to capacity may have less choice due to availability. You are welcome to check with us and we will aim to update the bookings page when booking restrictions may happen.
Do I have to share a room with strangers?
No, all rooms are single occupancy, you will have your own space.
Are there any en-suite facilities at all?
Yes, all room are en-suite with toilet, sink and shower facilities.
Do you have any double or twin rooms?
No all rooms are single, they are clean and well appointed. Rooms are simple in décor and are focused to cater for students normally attending the college. They will have all the necessities needed for the weekend.
Can I join a course even if I’ve never tried the craft before?
Yes, you certainly can! All workshops are suitable for all abilities as our experienced tutors will be on hand to give you as much or as little help that you require.
Is there a bar?
We do not have a bar onsite, the bonus of this is you can bring your own bottle if you wish to enjoy a drink during the evening social times. This will save you the dreaded bar prices, that you can always spend on crafts later!
Is parking available?
Yes, free onsite parking is available for all our participants, this is in a dedicated car park that is accessed by a barrier.
What do I need to bring with me?
Just your personal items including a towel. You may wish to bring a few extra home comforts like an additional pillow, blanket to make it feel more at home.
Are there any hidden extra costs?
No absolutely not, we believe in offering fabulous workshops that offer great value for money. All workshops included in your booking are inclusive of the tutoring, materials and use of tools.
We may look to offer an additional workshop on the Friday and Sunday afternoon and a taster workshop on the Saturday evening. These will be fully optional and booked separately to the main workshop. Some attendees will take them up and others will not. These are a fabulous opportunity to enjoy a few more crafts.
Transport links
Lincoln Railway and Bus stations are approximately 5 miles away from the campus but can also be accessed via taxi from outside the railway station. The campus is also on a bus route from the bus station.

Refunds and Cancellation
If you change your mind or are unable to attend, please let us know, via email as soon as possible.
If you wish to cancel your confirmed booking, I will make every effort to resell your place from our waiting list. If we are able to sell your place a refund minus a 20% administration charge will be issued.
Where your place cannot be resold, cancellation charges will be made as follows:

Cancellation more than 12 weeks before the event: 50% of the booking value or deposit will be refunded dependent on monies paid.

Cancellation between 12 and 8 weeks before the event: 20% of the booking value will be refunded via a credit for other workshops.

Cancellation between 8 weeks and the event itself, including non-arrivals: No refund will be made.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the retreat you will receive a full refund within 28 working days. We will not be liable for any personal costs to attend the workshop, including transport or hotels for example or those incurred due to cancellation.
